Limited Income Residential

Energy affordability is an increasing concern for utilities and their customers throughout the country. ComfortHome has been involved in designing and implementing Limited Income Residential Programs for utility companies to serve the dual purpose of reducing energy usage and minimizing the percentage of household income that is devoted to energy costs.

ComfortHome has acquired an unequalled, comprehensive understanding of how to meet the needs and objectives of these programs through enhanced measures and education to capture cost effective electric energy savings.

ComfortHome services limited income residential programs for PSEG, PPL, Met-Ed, Penn Power, BGE, and Columbia Gas Co. ComfortHome also contracts with Community Action Programs throughout the Mid Atlantic to provide weatherization services to qualifying families.

In cooperation with the federal funded by the U.S. Dept. of Energy, and Low Income Usage Reduction Program (LIURP) funded through the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services, ComfortHome delivers weatherization and other energy improvements to thousands of homes each year.

To find out more about weatherization and if you qualify, contact ComfortHome at 1-800-367-7223.

Multi-Family Buildings

ComfortHome has developed and delivered extensive energy efficiency improvement plans in over six thousand low-rise multi-family dwelling units. The majority of the projects were accomplished independent of a Utility sponsored program.

ComfortHome has certified Building Performance Institute (BPI) Multi-Family Specialists to audit multi-family properties. ComfortHome can value engineer customized action plans to multi-family properties traditionally not included in Utility Limited-Income programs. Multi-family, codes associated with them, and the interstitial connectivity have unique challenges and issues that ComfortHome has been able to cost effectively address with direct benefits in energy saving, improved comfort, while maintaining health and safety standards in all units of the buildings in focus. The scopes of our retrofits have included lighting, HVAC distribution improvement, and mold and moisture remediation.

PARE® Energy

Adaptable to most utility programs, ComfortHome's proprietary Progressive Analysis to Reduce Energy, or PARE™ technology, provides homeowners with greater options, greater savings, and higher levels of comfort than any other home improvement option.

Our Progressive Analysis to Reduce Energy (PARE) insures homeowners save the maximum possible energy at the minimum possible cost.

Developed from our experience with utility-run residential energy efficiency programs, ComfortHome developed PARE to incorporate the necessary steps to attract and activate homeowners to upgrade their home's efficiency.

Unique to Comfort Home, PARE is the result of our 25 years of home energy management experience, our state-of-the-art technology, and our development of the most productive and cost-effective approaches to evaluating and reducing home energy use. Comfort Home has certified the energy efficiency of more than 150,000 homes and residences.

PARE delivers greater savings and more comfort than any other home improvement option.

Most homeowners think the secrets to home energy efficiency involve more insulation, higher R values, high efficiency heating systems and appliances, new windows, and perhaps inexpensive heating sources like free wood. While these factors are important—and certainly should be considered when evaluating what's best for each particular home—other considerations such as air leakage (through attic, basement, and ductwork) can have a much bigger impact on energy consumption and comfort.

Comfort Home's PARE process utilizes state-of-the-art diagnostic testing, sophisticated computer analytics and reporting, and proven retrofit techniques to help you choose exactly the right energy reduction upgrades to best match your home and budget.

We'll inspect, analyze, diagnose, and quantify every aspect of how your home consumes energy.
